A learning board is an interactive learning board designed to help toddlers and preschoolers learn core concepts each week through an all-in-one visual chart. These are often used for circle time or morning boards. They establish routines that teach little ones about months, days of the week, dates, year, seasonal changes, vocabulary building, early literacy, time awareness, counting, early numeracy and sequencing, and pattern recognition while encouraging scientific observation as they track outside weather conditions.

How to go over the Calendar & Weather Board:
Each day of the week we rotate the interchangeable pieces to match the date and weather for the day.
Day of the Week: Day of the week recognition and day of the week spelling
Month: Month recognition and month spelling
Date: Date (number) recognition, counting how many days have past in the current month
Year: Year recognition
Season: Season recognition, season spelling, and naming things we wear during that season
Today is, Yesterday was, and Tomorrow will: basic recognition sequence of yesterday, today, and tomorrow
yesterday represents the past (what already happened), using past-tense verbs like was, did, or had
today represents the present (what is happening right now) using present-tense verbs like is, do, or am
tomorrow represents the future (what will happen next), using future-tense verbs like will be or will do
Match with Days of the Week
Weather: weather recognition and scientific observation
Then we sing the Days of the Week and Months of the Year songs.
How It Works:
Purchase PDF, download, and then print sheets (print on 8.5" x 11" sheet paper, one-sided, cardstock is preferred (it is sturdier), but regular printing paper work too).
Laminate printed sheets.
Cut out pieces on specified CUTOUT PAGES, then add Velcro dots.
Place laminated sheets in a binder and add the cut out pieces onto them.
Place extra pieces like the calendar dates and year pieces in a clear storage bag so they don't get lost.
Enjoy!
